Our Member Marian Werner shared two songs for voice and piano written by Tučapský especially for her. A more detailed description appeared in Newsletter #148 published on 1 November 2024.
In England: is to the words by the poet Marjorie Wilson. They describe what can be seen on a train journey past “green fields and peaceful cows and sheep”, until “your journey’s end”.
Sweet Sound: this song is to a poem by Oliver Goldsmith. It starts “Sweet was the sound when oft at evening’s close” and ends “the playful children just let loose from school”.
