English National Opera to perform Janáček’s “Makropulos Case” in 2006 conducted by Sir Charles Mackerras

     Thursday 18th May 2006 will see the premiere of a new production of Leoš Janáček’s opera “The Makropulos Case (Věc Makropulos)”, conducted by the Dvořák Society’s President, Sir Charles Mackerras. Conducting duties for other performances will be shared with Alexander Briger. The director will be Christopher Alden, with a cast including Cheryl Barker, Robert Brubaker, John Graham-Hall, Neal Davies, Graham Clark.
