Serving the Cause of Czech and Slovak Music by Making the Dvořák Society’s Quarterly Diary of Events more widely available

One of the benefits of joining the Dvořák Society is that members receive regular (quarterly) Newsletters. A typical issue will have about 36 A4 size pages of information, articles and reports on a wide range of Czech and Slovak musical and wider cultural matters. In addition, each issue of the Newsletter includes a Diary section that gives details of performances and other events scheduled for the next few months. The Diary is in two parts, British and Overseas. Typically it will list more than 150 British and Overseas events. These range all the way from large-scale opera and symphonic performances to solo recitals, taking in such diverse activities as touring choirs, chamber music and study weekends.

The Newsletter is time consuming and quite expensive to produce, so the full version is only available to members. However, the Society exists to serve the wider world of Czech and Slovak music and not just the interests of Society members. For this reason, from Newsletter 69 onwards the full current diary will published on the Dvořák Society web site, as a service to these wider interests—click here for link.    www.dvorak-society.org
